Yakuza Fiancé streaming in India on Crunchyroll now

Yakuza Fiancé is streaming in India. JustWatch India lists it on the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel in English and Japanese, so fans can catch the crime romance there.

What Yakuza Fiancé is about

The story centres on Yoshino Somei, a high school girl from a powerful yakuza family who has managed to live a fairly peaceful life despite the world she was raised in. That changes when her grandfather arranges for her to marry Kirishima Miyama, heir to a rival criminal organisation.

Yoshino is not happy about it. She moves to Tokyo to live with her prospective husband, and things get more complicated from there. Kirishima comes across as friendly and charming in public, but Yoshino finds his behaviour far more unsettling once they are alone. Their engagement plays out against family expectations, criminal rivalries and very different ideas of what the arrangement should mean.

The manga and the anime

Asuka Konishi writes and draws the manga, which began in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine on 25 August 2017. Studio Deen produced the anime adaptation, which ran for 12 episodes in Japan from 7 October to 23 December 2024. Toshifumi Kawase directed it, with Rika Takasugi on scripts. Hitomi Ueda voices Yoshino in Japanese, and Akira Ishida plays Kirishima.

Where to watch in India
